Traditional herbal medicinal product used as an adjunct in mild urinary tract complaints, as a diuretic and to improve urinary flow. The product is a traditional herbal medicinal product for use in specified indications exclusively based on long-standing use.
INGREDIENTS
1 g of product contains 1 g of birch leaves (Betula pendula Roth and/or Betula pubescens Ehrhart, folium).
USAGE INSTRUCTIONS
Adults and the elderly: Pour 1 tablespoon (3 g) of birch leaves with 1 cup (250 ml) of boiling water, infuse covered for 15 minutes. Leave to stand for 10 minutes, then strain. Drink one cup of the infusion 1–3 times daily. The maximum daily dose is 12 g of birch leaves, corresponding to 4 cups of infusion.
WARNING
Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to birch pollen or birch leaves. Conditions where reduced fluid intake is recommended (e.g. severe heart or kidney diseases). If symptoms worsen, do not improve or are accompanied by fever, pain, difficulty urinating or presence of blood in the urine, consult a doctor or pharmacist. Due to insufficient data, use is not recommended in children under 12 years. If symptoms persist during use or if adverse effects not described on this packaging occur, consult a doctor. The medicine is traditionally used for 2 to 4 weeks. If symptoms persist despite treatment, consult a doctor or other healthcare professional. Do not take a double dose to compensate for a missed dose. Gastrointestinal complaints (nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea) and allergic reactions (itching, rash, urticaria, allergic rhinitis) may occur during treatment. The frequency of these symptoms is unknown.
STORAGE
Store at a temperature not exceeding 30°C, in dry, clean rooms protected from pests, shielding the product from light, moisture and foreign odours. Keep out of reach and sight of children. Do not use after the expiry date.
