Editorial transparency

How content on Tigoo is reviewed

Tigoo is operated by Nutri Nordic AB, which is the responsible publisher for all published content. Lexicon entries, guides and product information are produced by our editorial team based on independent official sources and are reviewed on an ongoing basis. This page describes how the process works and how you report an error.

Our sources

We base factual claims about vitamins, minerals, nutrients and dosage on official assessments — never on marketing material from manufacturers.

  • The Swedish Food Agency (Livsmedelsverket) — Swedish national recommendations for nutrient intake and supplements.
  • EFSA (European Food Safety Authority) — the EU's scientific assessment of health claims.
  • EU Regulation 1924/2006 — the list of approved nutrition and health claims.
  • EU Regulation 1170/2009 — rules for vitamins and minerals in food supplements.
  • The National Board of Health and Welfare (Socialstyrelsen) — for questions about medicines versus supplements.
  • Nordic Nutrition Recommendations (NNR) — joint Nordic nutrition recommendations.

How content is created

  1. Research. Content for lexicon entries and guides always starts from at least one independent official source (see above). Product information is taken from the manufacturer's declared list of ingredients.
  2. Draft. The editorial team writes the content in Swedish in a tool that structures headings and fact boxes. AI systems may be used for linguistic polishing, but no factual information is published without human verification against the source.
  3. Review. Every published article is checked against EU Regulation 1924/2006 to ensure that no unauthorised health claims appear. Questions about dosage and therapeutic effects always refer the reader to a doctor or pharmacist.
  4. Publication. The responsible publisher Nutri Nordic AB approves publication. The date of the latest review is shown on each lexicon article.

Update interval

Lexicon articles are reviewed at least every twelve months or when one of our sources is updated — for example when the Swedish Food Agency publishes new recommendations or EFSA releases a new health-claim assessment. Product pages are updated continuously when the manufacturer changes the formula, packaging or certifications.

What we don't do

  • We give no medical advice. For questions about treatment, dosage in case of illness or interaction with medicines — contact a doctor, pharmacist or 1177.
  • We use no unauthorised health claims. No claims that supplements "cure", "prevent" or "heal" disease — such wording does not appear in our published content.
  • We do not make up countries of origin or manufacturing details for brands. When facts are missing we describe the range, not the geography.
