Key features of the product:

Certified.

Simple operation – just press the protective plastic caps on both sides of the alkotest to puncture the protective foil, take a deep breath, and blow air for 10 seconds from each side.

Rapid result – the result is visible within 2-4 minutes by easily comparing the crystal colour with the included colour scale.

Instructions for use

1. The test can be started at least 15 minutes after the last alcohol consumption. You should also refrain from smoking cigarettes before testing.

2. Press the plastic protective caps on both sides of the alkotest to puncture the protective foil until resistance is felt.

3. Take a deep breath and blow into the mouthpiece, following the direction of the arrows on the alkotest. Air should be blown twice for about 10 seconds, and during one cycle, the blowing cannot be interrupted. Ensure that the air is expelled from the other side of the alkotest. If not, repeat the procedure from point 2.

4. After 2 minutes, but no later than 5 minutes, read the test result.

If the crystals located in the middle of the tube, which are white before the test, change colour, it indicates that the person being tested is under the influence of alcohol and must not drive any motor vehicles. The approximate blood alcohol content in promilles can be read by comparing the result with colour standards located on both the alkotest and the packaging. Note that the crystals change colour with varying intensity. White areas may be visible despite the presence of alcohol.

5. After use, dispose of the device in municipal waste.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about DIATHER Breathalyser

What is DIATHER Alkotest and how does it work?
DIATHER Alkotest is a certified disposable product for measuring alcohol levels in exhaled air. The product uses colour change of crystals to indicate alcohol concentration, with results visible within 2-4 minutes through comparison with a accompanying colour scale.
How to correctly use the Alkotest?
Start by waiting at least 15 minutes after alcohol consumption. Press in the plastic protective covers on both sides to penetrate the protective film, take a deep breath and exhale through the mouthpiece for about 10 seconds from each side. Read the result after 2-5 minutes.
How quickly can I get results from the Alkotest?
The result from DIATHER Alkotest is visible within 2-4 minutes. You compare the colour of the crystals in the middle of the tube with the accompanying colour scale to determine the approximate blood alcohol concentration.
What preparations are required before using the Alkotest?
Before the test, you should wait at least 15 minutes after drinking alcohol. You should also avoid smoking before the test to obtain an accurate result.
Is DIATHER Alkotest certified and safe to use?
Yes, DIATHER Alkotest is a certified product designed with a focus on safety and convenience. It is intended for self-use to check if it is safe to drive.

No, DIATHER Alkotest is a single-use product. After one test, you must use a new Alkotest for the next measurement.
What does it mean if the crystals in the Alkotest turn colour?
If the white crystals in the middle of the tube turn colour, it indicates that the person is affected by alcohol and should absolutely not drive. The intensity of the colour can be compared with the colour patterns on both the product and the packaging to estimate the alcohol level.
How to read the results on the Alkotest?
After 2-5 minutes, compare the colour of the crystals with the coloured reference patterns on both the Alkotest and the packaging. Different colour intensities indicate different blood alcohol concentrations.
Can breathing be interrupted during the Alkotest procedure?
No, during a breathing cycle of about 10 seconds, breathing must not be interrupted. If you do interrupt, you must start over by pressing in the protective covers again.
What should be avoided before taking the Alkotest?
