L-citrulline is a non-essential amino acid that plays a central role in the body's nitric oxide production and energy metabolism. The fermented form used in this product is particularly well absorbed by the body, making it an effective choice for those looking to maximise results from their workout or training routine.

Fermented L-citrulline – The amino acid for circulation

Fermented L-citrulline is the core of this product. L-citrulline is an amino acid that the body uses to produce nitric oxide, an important signalling molecule that affects blood flow and nutrient transport to the muscles. Unlike L-arginine, which is often used for the same purpose, L-citrulline has a longer half-life in the body and is more stable during digestion.

The fermented form of L-citrulline is produced through natural fermentation, which increases bioavailability – that is, how well the body can absorb and utilise the amino acid. This makes the fermented variant more effective than synthetic alternatives, as a greater proportion of what you consume can actually be used by your muscles and blood vessels.

L-citrulline plays several important roles in the body. It is a key component in the urea cycle, which is responsible for removing harmful nitrogen waste products from the muscles during and after exercise. This contributes to faster recovery and reduced muscle fatigue. Additionally, L-citrulline supports natural energy production in cells by enhancing ATP synthesis, which is the cells’ energy currency.

For exercisers, L-citrulline is especially valuable as it can help increase blood flow during training, enabling better nutrient delivery to working muscles. Improved circulation can also support the natural recovery process after intense exercise.

Benefits & uses

Five unique benefits of VAST Citrulline Unflavoured

• Support for natural nitric oxide production: L-citrulline is a direct precursor to nitric oxide, a molecule crucial for blood vessel function and blood flow. By providing this amino acid, the product can support the body’s natural ability to maintain healthy circulation, which is especially important during and after exercise when muscles need maximum nutrient delivery.
• Improved muscle recovery through the urea cycle: L-citrulline is a central component of the urea cycle, responsible for eliminating nitrogen waste products from muscles. During intense exercise, these waste products accumulate, contributing to muscle fatigue. By supporting this process, L-citrulline can help accelerate recovery and reduce feelings of exhaustion after training.
• Support for cellular energy production: L-citrulline plays a role in energy metabolism by supporting ATP synthesis, the cells’ energy production process. This means the product can contribute to increased energy levels and endurance during exercise, enabling longer or more intense workouts.
• Flexibility through flavourless form: The unflavoured variant from VAST allows you to mix L-citrulline with any drink or smoothie without affecting the taste. This is ideal for those who already have a favourite blend or prefer full control over the ingredients in their nutritional mix. You can easily integrate it into your existing training routine without changing your habits.
• Pure composition without unnecessary additives: With only fermented L-citrulline as the active ingredient and no declarable allergens, this product is a minimalist and pure solution for those who want to avoid unnecessary additives, colourings, or flavours. This makes it suitable for people with sensitive digestive systems or those who prefer simple, uncomplicated supplements.

Applications

VAST Citrulline Unflavoured is suitable for a wide range of uses. For athletes focusing on strength training or muscle building, L-citrulline can support blood flow to muscles during exercise, potentially improving nutrient delivery and aiding recovery. For endurance athletes, the improved circulation and energy production can contribute to better performance during longer training sessions.

The product is also suitable for individuals interested in general health and wellbeing, especially those wanting to support cardiovascular function and circulation. Since L-citrulline is a natural amino acid already produced by the body, it is a safe and well-established supplement for long-term use.

The flavourless formulation makes it particularly convenient for those who already have an established training routine with specific drinks or nutritional blends. You can easily add L-citrulline without needing to change your existing habits or taste preferences.
